While I agree partially with what the guy had to say, he went about it in the wrong way, and rightfully, he got his ass flamed for it.

While MM6 was a top-selling line for McFarlane Toys, there were a few fans like me that felt that an all-A&P wave went against the point of the Movie Maniacs line-- to give characters from obscure films or films that couldn't support an entire line a chance.

While I didn't buy the majority of MM6, I can understand why it was made, and don't blame McFarlane... make those fuckin' toys while there's still a market!

I also applaud you guys for taking a risk and putting out a primarily sci-fi MM line, especially when previous waves focused mainly on slashers from campy 80's B-movies. That route was a limitation, and you proved that monsters from space could be just as maniacal as a drowned and zombified mongoloid or horribly burned child killer.

There's just no reason to go out and say "FUCK YOU" to McFarlane and to the people who bought MM6 because they like A&P. Over the past 10 years, McF has been responsible for some of the best toys ever made, even if McFarlane didn't produce them.

It was McF's influence that has allowed toys to go from crappy pieces of plastic with five points of articulation and horrible likenesses to posable works of art.

I'm glad to be on this board, and that it was created by you guys. Posting here feels like old times, like when I first joined Spawn.com. There're going to be differences of opinion, but there's no need for insult or injury. We're all friends here.

Mean-spirited remarks and in-fighting are why we are all on this board. I see no reason to bring that here, and have no plans to. We're all adults (or as adult as you can get collecting toys), so it's time to act like fucking grown-ups. [img]smile.gif[/img]
